At River Heights Physiotherapy we care tremendously about your health and safety. In order to address returning to practice with COVID-19 or coronavirus still a risk we are following the guidelines and advice of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, Health Canada, and the Province of Manitoba. In order to reduce the spread of coronavirus and all other communicable diseases we have increased our regular cleaning schedules and implemented additional measures which include:
All patients are asked to cancel their scheduled appointments or switch to Virtual Physio if they are experiencing any symptoms, have been in contact with anyone who is suspected to have the coronavirus, have travelled outside the country/province in the last 2 weeks or are awaiting testing results for COVID-19. All patients must complete the COVID-19 screening questionnaire before each appointment.
All staff have been asked to stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms, have been in contact with anyone who is suspected to have the coronavirus, have travelled outside of the country/province in the last 2 weeks, are awaiting testing results for COVID-19, or failed the COVID-19 screening questionnaire.
All patients will be asked to clean their hands upon entry into the clinic and before leaving their treatment rooms. Hand sanitizer is available at the front door and in all treatment rooms. We also have 2 sinks for handwashing with single use paper towel for hand drying.
Disposable masks will be available at the front door but we ask if you have access to a mask that you please bring your own as all patients will be asked to wear one for the duration of their appointment. The cost of a disposable mask is $1.
All staff are wearing masks. Therapist are wearing eye shields.
As usual, all staff will thoroughly wash their hands between tasks and each patient contact.
Social distancing is in effect. Plexiglass shields are up at the front desk and red tape markers on the floor designate safe standing area. Treatment rooms are private. We are asking patients to enter the clinic right at their appointment time. Patients are brought directily into the treatment room as opposed to sitting in the waiting are. Friends and family will not be able to wait in the waiting room but if needed they can go into the treatment room with you.
All treatment room surfaces, equipment, and door handles are cleaned with a Health Canada approved disinfectant between each patient.
Cleaning schedules to disinfect other door handles and surfaces commonly touched will been increased to multiple times throughout the day.
If you are attending for jaw treatment and prefer no intra-oral treatment with a gloved hand please let us know. There are multiple alternative treatment options. We have added signs throughout the clinic reminding people not to attend if they are ill and of other prevention measures suggested by Health Canada.
We are committed to working together to keep our community safe.
If you have any further questions about the safety measures we are taking please feel free to send your questions to firstname.lastname@example.org or call the office at 204-987-9222.
