At River Heights Physiotherapy we care tremendously about your health and safety. In order to address growing concerns over COVID-19 or coronavirus we are following the guidelines and advice of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and Health Canada. In order to reduce the spread of coronavirus and all other communicable diseases we have increased our regular cleaning schedules and implemented additional measures which include:

All patients are asked to cancel their scheduled appointments if they are experiencing any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who is suspected to have the coronavirus.

All staff have been asked to stay home if they are experiencing any symptoms or have been in contact with anyone who is suspected to have the coronavirus.

All patients will be asked to clean their hands upon entry into the clinic.

We have added signs throughout the clinic reminding people not to attend if they are ill and of other prevention measures suggested by Health Canada.

Hand sanitizer is available in all treatment rooms and at the front desk. We also have 2 sinks for handwashing with single use paper towel or cloths for hand drying.

All surfaces in treatment rooms are cleaned with a Health Canada approved disinfectant between every patient.

All pillow covers and linens are washed after every patient.

Cleaning schedules to disinfect door handles and other surfaces commonly touched have been increased to multiple times throughout the day.

All therapists clean their hands thoroughly between patients, and use disposable gloves for all jaw treatment.

If you are attending for jaw treatment and prefer no intra-oral treatment with a gloved hand please let us know. There are multiple alternative treatment options.

We will utilize distancing strategies.  Treatment rooms are private. We will bring patients into their treatment room as soon as possible upon arrival at the clinic. Please try not to bring friends and family with you to wait in the waiting area. If needed they can come into the treatment room with you.
