Hello!  We hope you and your family are well! We wanted to let you know that your access to physiotherapy has not changed given the Province's move to a pandemic response level of red. We continue to go above and beyond to ensure your visits with us are safe.

The safety of patients and staff has always been our top priority. If you have been here since the start of the pandemic you will notice some additional protocols and precautions so that you feel safe and comfortable. We are screening, masking, social distancing, and cleaning like crazy!

Here is a list of some of our safety protocols:

All patients are screened prior to their appointment. Appointments are re-scheduled or switched to Virtual Physio if a patient fails the screening tool.

All staff are screened daily and will stay home for the required amount of time if they fail the screening tool.

Social distancing is in effect. Plexiglass shields are up at the front desk and red tape markers on the floor designate safe standing area. Treatment rooms are private. We are asking patients to enter the clinic right at their appointment time. Patients are brought directly into the treatment room as opposed to sitting in the waiting are. Friends and family will not be able to wait in the waiting room but if needed they can go into the treatment room with you.

All patients are asked to clean their hands upon entry into the clinic and before leaving their treatment rooms. Hand sanitizer is available at the front door and in all treatment rooms. We also have 2 sinks for handwashing with single use paper towel for hand drying.

Disposable masks are available at the front door but we ask if you have access to a mask that you please bring your own as all patients will be asked to wear one for the duration of their appointment. The cost of a disposable mask is $1.

All staff are wearing masks. Therapists are also wearing eye shields.

As usual, all staff will thoroughly wash their hands between tasks and each patient contact.

All treatment room surfaces, equipment, and door handles are cleaned with a Health Canada approved disinfectant between each patient.

Cleaning schedules to disinfect other door handles and surfaces commonly touched will been increased to multiple times throughout the day.

If you are attending for jaw treatment and prefer no intra-oral treatment with a gloved hand please let us know. There are multiple alternative treatment options. We have added signs throughout the clinic reminding people not to attend if they are ill and of other prevention measures suggested by Health Canada.

We are committed to working together to keep our community safe. Should you feel more comfortable you can also access physio from the comfort of your own home with a Virtual Physio appointment. For more info please click here.

If you have any further questions about the safety measures or Virtual Physio please feel free to send your questions to info@rhphysio.ca or call the office at 204-987-9222.

Thanks! Stay healthy!
