Lisa Baldwinson, Physiotherapist

Lisa came into physiotherapy by being a patient herself!  She was involved in a minor motor vehicle accident while studying microbiology at the University of Winnipeg in 2005.  After going for treatment, she discovered the many benefits of physiotherapy and the more she researched, the more she liked the profession and what it had to offer!

Lisa graduated from University of Manitoba in 2009 with her physiotherapy degree and has worked in both hospital and private settings from then on.  She most enjoys being hands-on and utilizing her manual therapy skills, and came into private practice full-time in 2010.  Since graduation, she has begun working on her Canadian Orthopedic Levels and other advanced manual therapy courses, completed her licence to practice acupuncture, taken advanced training in the assessment and treatment of the jaw, and attended the World Physiotherapy Congress in Amsterdam, Netherlands.  She has advanced training in foot biomechanical assessment and creating custom foot orthotics. She strives to continue her training in manual therapy and plans to complete a Clincal Master’s program in the future.

Outside of being a physiotherapist, Lisa tries to practice what she preaches by staying active in the forms of cycling, dancing, yoga, and walking her dog, Wally.  She also loves traveling and is always looking for physiotherapy courses and conferences outside of Winnipeg! Lisa's preferred body part to treat is hands and wrists.
