Barb Webb, Physiotherapist

Barb graduated for the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy in 1982. Her career has taken her to Ontario, B.C., Christchurch New Zealand and then back home to Winnipeg. It has included a variety of different hospital settings before moving into private practice in 1992.

Keeping current in the profession is an ongoing goal. Barb is always looking for the next opportunity to take courses, attend workshops etc. She has taken extensive continuing education in the areas of manual or hands-on therapy in the treatment of orthopaedic injuries, running and foot bio-mechanics, custom foot orthotics. She is licensed to practice acupuncture.

Barb has taken specialized training in osteoporosis prevention, treatment, and management. She speaks to various community groups about how to exercise safely with osteoporosis. She has a particular interest in teaching those diagnosed with osteoporosis how important and effective exercise is in maintaining their health.

Barb enjoys treating all types of musculoskeletal problems including neck and back pain and sports injuries. She has become very experienced in assessment and treatment of running related injuries by being very involved in the running community through over a decade of presentations to runners (and being one herself!), and subsequently having the opportunity to treat their injuries. Barb has always believed in "practicing what we preach as physiotherapists" by maintaining an active lifestyle. She has been running/walking /cycling to work long before Active Transportation even became a concept!
